There are various national & university level entrance exams are conducted for providing admission in UG & PG medical courses. There will no state level exam conducted for admission in MBBS & BDS courses. From the year 2017, all the state level medical entrance tests have been merged into NEET examination. National Level Exams
NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is one of the most sought national level examination which is conducted by the CBSE board. The test will be held once in a year. The test commenced for granting the admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by various institutions across the country. This exam is conducted through pen and paper based mode. Candidates can fill the application form in the month of April 2018.
National Board of Examinations (NBE) organizes a national level exam named as NEET PG (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – Post Graduate). This examination is conducted for providing admission into MD/MS courses offered by various medical colleges across the country. The online registration will be started from the month of September 2018.
AIIMS is a medical entrance examination conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Through this examination, admission will be given to the undergraduate medical courses (MBBS). The application form of AIIMS 2018 exam will be released in the third week of February 2018. Candidates who want to pursue MBBS course from the institutions of AIIMS can apply for this exam.
AIIMS PG Entrance Exam is a national level post graduate examination organized by AIIMS, New Delhi. This examination is organized for selecting students for admissions in MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.CH Courses offered by AIIMS institutions across the country. This exam will be held two times in a year, i.e. January & July 2018. Application will be released via online mode only.
JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research) regulates the medical entrance examination for providing admission in MBBS programme. Candidates can apply for this examination in the first week of March 2018 through online mode only. Students will get admission in JIPMER, Puducherry & JIPMER, Karaikal campuses.
JIPMER PG is a national level examination administrated by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research. Students looking for admissions in MD/MS courses may appear for this exam. JIPMER PG exam will be organized in two sessions, i.e January and July 2018. The authority shall release the application in the month of March 2018.
Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test – Super Specialty (DNB CET-SS) is a national level exam organized by the NBE. This exam is conducted twice in a year (January and July Session). Through DNB CET examination, candidates will get admissions in DM/MCh and DNB 3-year Super Specialty courses. Application will be released via online mode only.
University Level MBBS Admission
Aligarh Muslim University popularly known as AMU is a premier central University situated in the middle of Doab, Aligarh. This university does not conduct any entrance exam for providing admission in MBBS & BDS courses. Admission into these courses will be done through NEET examination. The admission form will be released in the month of June 2018.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University offers admission to students in MBBS programme on the basis of NEET 2018 score. The application for admission in MBBS will be announced in the month of June 2018. Candidates can fill and submit the application via online mode through the website.
University of Delhi (Delhi University) offers UG and PG courses in the field of medical, engineering, commerce and science. Admission to MBBS course in the constituent colleges of Delhi University will be done on the basis of NEET. No separate pre-medical test will be conducted for providing admission. Online registration will begin from the month of May 2018.
Central Admission Committee (CENTAC) is the main authority that has the responsibilities of conducting admission to UG programmes offered by various government colleges of Puducherry and other states/UT’s in the medical, engineering & other fields. CENTAC 2018 application form for admission will be announced in the second week of May 2018. Admission in MBBS programme will be given on NEET scores.
CMC Vellore (Christian Medical College) is a Christian minority, educational college which offers admissions to students in various UG, PG courses, diploma & other courses in medical field. The authority releases the application form online only in the third week of March 2018. Admission to MBBS course will be done on the basis of NEET Score followed by an aptitude test set by CMC.
Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University does not conduct any entrance exam for providing admission in MBBS & BDS courses. Candidates have to qualify the NEET 2018 national level examination to get admission into these courses. Admission and counselling process will be done by MCC (Medical Common Counselling).
Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University offers various UG, PG and other courses in the field of medical, engineering, computer applications, etc. For admission in MBBS & BDS courses offered by various constituent institutions of the university students have to clear the NEET examination. Applications will be released via online mode.
Manipal University offers various UG and PG courses in the field of medical, dental, etc. No entrance exam will be conducted by the university for admission in medical courses. Admissions in PG medical courses will be done through NEET PG and MBBS & BDS admissions will be given through NEET UG scores. Application form will be filled through online mode.
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology gives admission in PG Medical,PG Dental, MBBS & BDS Courses on the basis of NEET exam. Students have to qualify the NEET exam to get admission in medical & dental courses. The application form will be accessible via online mode through the website.
Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) offers education in the field of medical. This college gives admission in MBBS course on the basis of NEET examination. The online filling of the application form will be started from the month of July 2018. AFMC provides admission to 130 MBBS seats including 10 seats for SC/ST candidates (105 seats for boys and 25 seats for girls).
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) organizes university level examination for providing admissions into MD, MS, DM, MDS and other PG courses. Candidates can register for this exam through online mode. This examination will be organized twice in a year, i.e. January and July sessions.
